  1. 11. ENHEAR : a way of being, a state of mind, a field of enquiry

    Författare :Carolina Jinde; Rebecca Hilton; Anne Gry Haugland; Stockholms konstnärliga högskola; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; enhear; listening; sound engineering; sound studio; film production; sonic centric strategies; collaborative processes; cross disciplinary practices; Utbildning på forskarnivå i performativa och mediala praktiker; Third-Cycle Studies in Performative and Mediated Practices;

    Sammanfattning : The term Enhear invites an approach to research, art practice, sound studio and world that is comprehensively aural. It proposes listening as both act and role; listening as a present tense, continual and continuous co-creation of the inter-relational spaces we all share. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Moving through Choreography – Curating Choreography as an Artistic Practice

    Författare :Marie Fahlin; André Lepecki; Cristina Caprioli; Joanna Sandell; Stockholms konstnärliga högskola; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Choreography; curating; dressage; centaur; centauring; exhibition; exhibitor; articulation; affect; transposition; composition; transcarnation; touch; tack; aids; terminology; ‘found practice’; ‘found choreography’; expanded choreography; one; oneness; manège; poetry; intimacy; listening; entanglement; embodiment; discursivity; diagram; performing; preforming; Utbildning på forskarnivå i performativa och mediala praktiker; Third-Cycle Studies in Performative and Mediated Practices;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of the artistic research, Moving through Choreography – Curating Choreography as an Artistic Practice, has been to consider choreography and curating in their similarities and differences. Thus, at different phases of the working process, choreography and curating were treated as one and the same artistic practice; while, in other moments, as practices that are distinct from each other. 3. 13. Sound Quality of Flue Organ Pipe. An Interdisciplinary Study on the Art of Voicing

    Författare :Vincent Rioux; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; listening tests; psychoacoustics; verbal descriptors; flue organ pipes; musical acoustics; sound quality; deterministic stochastic separation; timbre; time-frequency analysis;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a research study carried out in collaboration with a department of applied acoustics, a department of musical acoustics and an organ workshop. The description of the sound quality of flue organ pipes has received fairly little attention either in organ-building or scientific literature, despite its importance in the overall quality of the instrument, probably due to the difficulties inherent in doing so. 4. 14. On Reverberation Enhancement in Auditoria

    Författare :Peter Svensson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; active sound field control; room acoustics; reverberation enhancement; listening tests; subjective effects; sound-reinforcement; feedback systems; feedback control; computer modelling of acoustics in enclosures; modulation; electro acoustics; time-varying filters;

    Sammanfattning : The analysis of electroacoustic systems for reverberation enhancement in auditoria is the topic of this thesis. Such systems have been developed since the 50's and been commercially available since then as well. During the 80's several new system ideas have been presented but there are still some open questions that are addressed here. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Assessing cognitive spare capacity as a measure of listening effort using the Auditory Inference Span Test

    Författare :Niklas Rönnberg; Stefan Stenfelt; Mary Rudner; Thomas Lunner; Larry Humes; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Listening effort; Cognitive spare capacity; Speech-in-noise; Cognition; Working memory; Updating; Hearing impairment;

    Sammanfattning : Hearing loss has a negative effect on the daily life of 10-15% of the world’s population. One of the most common ways to treat a hearing loss is to fit hearing aids which increases audibility by providing amplification. Hearing aids thus improve speech reception in quiet, but listening in noise is nevertheless often difficult and stressful. LÄS MER
