  1. 1. Textile architecture informed by wind

    Författare :Erica Hörteborn; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Textiles; Research by design; Textile architecture; Kinetic architecture; Lightweight structures; Wind; Geometric expression; Knitted textiles;

    Sammanfattning : Textiles in architecture is a field of great potential, which are worth to explore further. This thesis aims to show that the flexibility of the textile material could be better included in the architectural design, allowing it to adapt to forces, such as the wind, and viewing motion as a positive design feature. 2. 2. Assessing design strategies for improved life cycle environmental performance of vehicles

    Författare :Sofia Poulikidou; Anna Björklund; Per Wennhage; Gregory Keoleian; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Vehicle design; Design strategies; Lightweight design; Electric vehicles; Design for Environment DfE ; DfE tools; Life cycle assessment LCA ; Simplified LCA; Composite materials; Planering och beslutsanalys; Planning and Decision Analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Vehicle manufactures have adopted different strategies for improving the environmental performance of their fleet including lightweight design and alternative drivetrains such as EVs. Both strategies reduce energy during use but may result in a relative increase of the impact during other stages. LÄS MER
