16. Ontology-Driven Data Access and Data Integration with an Application in the Materials Design Domain
Sammanfattning : The Semantic Web aims to make data on the web machine-readable by introducing semantics to the data. Ontologies are one of the critical technologies in the Semantic Web. LÄS MER
17. Reinforcement Learning of Locomotion based on Central Pattern Generators
Sammanfattning : Locomotion learning for robotics is an interesting and challenging area in which the movement capabilities of animals have been deeply investigated and acquired knowledge has been transferred into modelling locomotion on robots. What modellers are required to understand is what structure can represent locomotor systems in different animals and how such animals develop various and dexterous locomotion capabilities. LÄS MER
18. Toward Energy-efficient Physical Vapor Deposition : Routes for Replacing Substrate Heating during Magnetron Sputtering by Employing Metal Ion Irradiation
Sammanfattning : In this Thesis, magnetron sputtering is perfected as an environmental-friendly deposition technique. I performed systematic studies of a novel approach - hybrid high-power impulse and dc magnetron co-sputtering (HiPIMS/DCMS) with metal-ion-synchronized substrate bias pulses. LÄS MER
19. Ink-paper interaction : a study in ink-jet color reproduction
Sammanfattning : An ink jet printing system consists of three fundamental parts: inks, printing engine, and substrates. Inks are materials creating color by selectively absorbing and scattering the visible illumination light. The printer acts as an ink distributor that governs the ink application. LÄS MER
20. Bonding and Diffusion of Molecules in Zeolites by ESR and ENDOR
Sammanfattning : This thesis studies bonding and diffusion of molecules in zeolites by Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) and Electron Nuclear Double Resonance (ENDOR). In the first part an introduction is given. In the second part (chapter 2) the detailed structure of a Cu2+ complex with water molecules in Cu-ZSM-5 zeolite was characterized with ENDOR at 4 K.
