1. Health related lifestyle habits of Swedish schoolchildren : studies on knowledge, conception and behaviour
Sammanfattning : Aim: The overall aim of this thesis was to evaluate the effects of the health education programme "An adventure with Pelle Pump". Further the aim was to provide knowledge of importance for the development of future programmes aiming to promote a healthy lifestyle in children by studying predictors for health behaviours, and the impact of time and age on health behaviours in Swedish schoolchildren. 2. Tropomyosin in Normal and Malignant Cells and the Action of Picropodophyllin on the Microfilament and Microtubule Systems
Sammanfattning : Cell motility is a fundamental process, enabling cells to migrate, for instance during embryogenesis, tissue repair and defense. Force is generated by two protein systems, which also participate in cell proliferation, control macromolecular and organelle distribution and determine the fine structure of the cell interior. 3. Electrochemical Investigation of the Reaction Mechanism in Lithium-Oxygen Batteries
Sammanfattning : Lithium-oxygen batteries, also known as Lithium-air batteries, could possibly revolutionize energy storage as we know. By letting lithium react with ambient oxygen gas very large theoretical energy densities are possible. LÄS MER
4. Reactions with relativistic radioactive beams and gamma multiplicities
Sammanfattning : Experiments with relativistic radioactive beams are used to study the properties of exotic nuclei. The experimental setup used in this thesis is a complex system of detectors for identifying and measuring the 4-momenta of all incoming nuclei and products created when the nuclei impinge on a reaction target. 5. Charge Storage mechanisms and interactions of hybrid supercapacitor electrode materials with next-generation electrolytes
Sammanfattning : The storage of electrical energy is of outmost importance in today’s society for a wide range of applications. Batteries, that are most common for electrical energy storage today, struggle with low power density and limited cycle lifetime. LÄS MER
