  1. 6. Nyttiga bakterier och sjuka djur : En technoscience-resa från nätverksbildning till riskkonstruktion

    Författare :Lena Molin; Ulf Jonsson; Sven Fritz; Henrik Glimstedt; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; tehnoscience; hybrid; cyborg; risk; network; ANT; actant; pig; cow; bacteria; situated; nature; construction of nature; body; transgression; construction of scientific facts; truth; scientific process; knowledge production; risk construction; biotechnology; functional foods; food sector; high technology; alliances; innovation; Economic history; Ekonomisk historia;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of the dissertation is to examine the mechanisms at work when networks are formed and risk constructions made as bodies encounter frontline technology within the food sector. The concept of technoscience TS, is the link uniting the escalating technology of risk society, rebellious nature and the insidious threats of substances absorbed straight into the metabolism of our bodies through the food that we eat. 2. 7. Protein Engineering of Extracellular Superoxide Dismutase : Characterization of Binding to Heparin and Cellular Surfaces

    Författare :Ing-Marie Ahl; Lena Tibell; Bengt-Harald Jonsson; Steen Vang Petersen; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : Accumulating evidence indicates that oxygen free radicals are involved in many diseases and pathological conditions, such as aging, inflammation, reperfusion damage of ischemic tissue and various cardiovascular diseases. Extracellular superoxide dismutase (ECSOD) thus plays a major role in the maintenance of cells by providing protection against these toxic substances in the extracellular space. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Improved Methods for Characterization of Protein Dynamics by NMR spectroscopy and Studies of the EphB2 Kinase Domain

    Författare :Alexandra Ahlner; Patrik Lundström; Bengt-Harald Jonsson; Lena Mäler; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Proteins are essential for all known forms of life and in many lethal diseases protein failure is the cause of the disease. To understand proteins and the processes they are involved in, it is valuable to know their structures as well as their dynamics and interactions. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Strategies for assessing health risks from two occupational cohorts within the domain of northern Sweden

    Författare :Ove Björ; Tohr Nilsson; Håkan Jonsson; Lena Damber; Per Gustavsson; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cohort; mortality; incidence; risk; rate; cancer; cerebrovascular diseases; exposure; occupational; mining; industry; worker; Poisson regression; Cox regression; SMR; causal inference; G-estimation; Occupational and Environmental Medicine; arbets- och miljömedicin; epidemiologi; Epidemiology;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Studies based on a cohort design requires access to both subject-specific and period-specific information. In order to conduct an occupational cohort study, access to exposure information and the possibility and permission to link information on outcomes from other registers are generally necessary. 5. 10. Return to Work : Assessment of Subjective Psychosocial and Environmental Factors

    Författare :Elin Ekbladh; Lena Haglund; Lars-Håkan Thorell; Hans Jonsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Bedömningsinstrument; arbetsterapi; arbetsförmåga; arbetslivsinriktad rehabilitering; sjukfrånvaro; Model of Human Occupation MOHO ; WRI; WEIS; Occupational therapy; Arbetsterapi;

    Sammanfattning : Introduktion: Sjukfrånvaron i Sverige är hög och kunskap om vad som påverkar återgång i arbete efter sjukskrivning behöver utvecklas. I processen kring återgång i arbete är bedömning av arbetsförmåga en viktig del. LÄS MER
