    Sammanfattning : Leisure time is an important part of young people’s lives. Despite this, leisure-time settings have hitherto had only a minor role in setting-based health-promotion initiatives.     Sammanfattning : Constrained by national tests and the mathematics curriculum, teachers have problems finding time for exploratory and hands-on mathematical activities, especially so in classes with a reduced pace of progression, for example because of a large proportion of second-language learners. Could the leisure-time center, where time is not earmarked, provide such opportunities? The conclusion of this thesis is that this can be done, on the condition that designed activities build on the central premise of the leisure-time center: children have the right to choose which activities to engage with.     Sammanfattning : The aim of this study is to increase the knowledge and understanding of how leisure-time pedagogues´ professional identity is changed as a consequence of altered governance and resulting new tasks. More specifically the study is oriented towards understanding how external demands for quality accounts, assessments and documentation in leisure-time centers and schools, affect leisure-time pedagogues´ practice of their profession and professional identity, and how the leisure-time pedagogues relate to these demands.     Sammanfattning : The first purpose of this thesis concerning the implementation of Involvement Education (IE) was to highlight the experiences of the most important actors in the school (teachers, pupils and administration) when implementing the method in ordinary classes /leisure-time centers in a Swedish compulsory school, grades 1-6.IE is presented as a theory and a method, with the purpose of fostering sound self-esteem in human beings, stimulate a friendly social climate, training of positive traits or “virtues” and teaching positive ways of handling conflict.
