1. Articular and epiphyseal cartilage : its formation, maintenance and repair
Sammanfattning : Long bones develop via a series of ordered processes, initiated from mesenchymal stem cell condensation, cartilage anlagen formation, followed by central cell hypertrophy and vascular invasion and the finalized by the formation of primary and secondary ossification centers (SOC), where the latter is also called endochondral ossification. As long bone develops, it can be distinguished in to several morphologically distinct parts: the main shaft of a long bone, called diaphysis; a narrow disc of growth plate, providing a continuous supply of chondrocytes for longitudinal growth; a thin layer of articular cartilage at the ends of epiphysis, supporting joint movement, and a SOC, sandwiched between the two pieces of cartilage. 2. A study of wireless communications with reinforcement learning
Sammanfattning : The explosive proliferation of mobile users and wireless data traffic in recent years pose imminent challenges upon wireless system design. The trendfor wireless communications becoming more complicated, decentralized andintelligent is inevitable. LÄS MER
3. Analysing the transient operation of the boiler and the TES tank for improving the flexibility in biomass CHP
Sammanfattning : The uncertainty in the energy systems due to the continuously growing share of variable renewable energy sources (VRES) increases the requirements for flexibility. From the multiple mechanisms to improve flexibility, biomass-fired combined heat and power plants (CHPs) have gained attention due to their sustainability and high efficiency. LÄS MER
4. Hole Transport Materials for Solid-State Mesoscopic Solar Cells
Sammanfattning : The solid-state mesoscopic solar cells (sMSCs) have been developed as a promising alternative technology to the conventional photovoltaics. However, the device performance suffers from the low hole-mobilities and the incomplete pore filling of the hole transport materials (HTMs) into the mesoporous electrodes. LÄS MER
