11. Configurational and Magnetic Interactions in Multicomponent Systems
Sammanfattning : This thesis is a theoretical study of configurational and magnetic interactions in multicomponent solids. These interactions are the projections onto the configurational and magnetic degrees of freedom of the underlying electronic quantum mechanical system, and can be used to model, explain and predict the properties of materials. 12. Low Friction and Wear Resistant Carbon Nitride Thin Films for Rolling Components Grown by Magnetron Sputtering
Sammanfattning : The scope of this licentiate thesis is the investigation of carbon based thin films suitable for rolling components, especially roller bearings. Carbon and carbon nitride are materials with advantageous tribological properties and high resiliency. LÄS MER
13. Low-friction and wear-resistant carbon nitride coatings for bearing components grown by magnetron sputtering
Sammanfattning : The scope of this thesis is the investigation of magnetron sputtered carbon nitride coatings suitable for roller bearing components. The research field of tribology of bearings focuses on minimizing friction between components by improving the lubricants. LÄS MER
14. Business Basics : A Grounded Theory for Managing Ethical Behavior in Sales Organizations
Sammanfattning : Background: Managing co-workers’ ethical behavior in sales organizations is a complex social process. To start, sales organizations incorporate several actors to manage, often simultaneously, all with their own agendas. LÄS MER
15. Nanostructured materials for gas sensing applications
Sammanfattning : In this Thesis I have investigated the use of nanostructured films as sensing and contact layers for field effect gas sensors in order to achieve high sensitivity, selectivity, and long term stability of the devices in corrosive environments at elevated temperatures. Electrochemically synthesized Pd and Au nanoparticles deposited as sensing layers on capacitive field effect devices were found to give a significant response to NOx with small, or no responses to H2, NH3, and C3H6.
