Sammanfattning : This thesis is concerned with the ways in which the biblical narrative of the Fall, and more specifically the predicament of creatureliness (connoting innocence as well as depravation), can be traced as a cryptotheological motif within widely dissimilar modernist poetics and literary strategies. Postsecular theory and the return to the apostle Paul in recent political theology provide the backdrop for the seemingly disparate approaches of my case studies. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : Erik Beckman has a reputation of being a difficult author, verging on the incomprehensible. The point of departure in this study of his early writings, from the 1961 poem "Kärleksdikt under morotsträd" ("Love Poem Beneath Carrot-Tree) to the 1965 novel "Hertigens kartonger" ("The Duke's Cartons") is a hermeneutic problemizing of the description of him as an unreadable writer. Sammanfattning : The writings of Göran Tunström (1937 – 2000) are closely linked with his birthplace, Sunne in Värmland. His four ’Sunne Novels’, De heliga geograferna (1973; ’The Holy Geographers’), Guddöttrarna (1976; ’The Goddaughters’), Juloratoriet (1983; The Christmas Oratorio, 1995) and Tjuven (1986; ’The Thief’) form the subject of this thesis.
