  1. 1. Fracture behaviour and related microstructures of tool steels parted-off at high rates of strain

    Författare :Kristina Ryttberg; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; high-velocity parting-off; adiabatic cutting; high strain-rate deformation; TEM; steel; adiabatic shear band;

    Sammanfattning : Increasing steel prices and environmental aspects have put forward the demand to reduce material consumption in manufacturing industry and near-net-shape manufacturing techniques have thus become increasingly important. High-velocity parting-off, or adiabatic cutting, has shown to result in very low material waste as well as narrow dimensional tolerances of parted-off samples. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Microstructural changes in high strength steels exposed to large deformation and high strain rates

    Författare :Kristina Ryttberg; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; deformation mechanisms; high-velocity forming; high-velocity parting-off; adiabatic shear band; cold ring rolling; TEM; steel;

    Sammanfattning : Increasing steel prices and environmental aspects have put forward the demand to reduce material consumption and energy usage in manufacturing industry and near-net-shape manufacturing techniques have thus become increasingly important. High-velocity parting-off,high-velocity forming and cold ring rolling are three such manufacturing methods that exhibit great potentials in terms of material waste reduction. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Professional Support Staff at Higher Education Institutions : Navigating Ambiguities in Hybrid Roles

    Författare :Malin Ryttberg; Lars Geschwind; Anders Broström; Linda Wedlin; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Teknikvetenskapens lärande och kommunikation; Education and Communication in the Technological Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on how professional support staff within the support services at higher education institutions (HEIs) perceive their roles. A combination of the broader expectations on HEIs from the surrounding society, changed ideals for governance and research indicating changed profiles for the roles of these support staff has motivated this research.
