1. Models for tracking in automotive safety systems
Sammanfattning : This thesis treats the three main components of a tracking system: motion models, sensor models and implementation architecture. A tracking system utilizes models to extract as much information as possible from a set of sensors, with the purpose of estimating the state of a dynamic system. LÄS MER
2. eHomecare – for safety and communication in everyday life : The perspectives of older users, relatives and care managers

A further aim was to explore care managers’ perspectives, expectations and experiences of eHomecare and its implementation. LÄS MER
3. Effects of Safety Measures for Pedestrians and Cyclists at Crossing Facilities on Arterial Roads
Sammanfattning : The principal aims of this thesis are to define suitable measures for safer pedestrian and cycle crossings on arterial roads, to implement these measures on a large scale and to acquire an insight into their effects on road users' safety, experiences, mobility and the environment, by creating a 30 km/h milieu at the above crossings. Two characteristically different types of measures, physical measures and variable message signs, based on three principles, lower speed, no priority and improved and relevant information, are tested within the framework of this project. 4. Health Losses in Motorcycle Crashes - Injury Analysis of Crashes into Road Barriers and Evaluation of Antilock Braking Systems
Sammanfattning : Motorcycles crashes are a growing road safety problem. While the traditional safety approach has focused on protective gear and rider education, with the Vision Zero approach, the designers of the road transport system are considered responsible for its design and operation. 5. Practical Safety Ventilation in Ultraclean Air Operating Rooms
Sammanfattning : PRACTICAL SAFETY VENTILATION IN ULTRACLEAN AIR OPERATING ROOMS When planning new ultraclean air operating rooms, often the first question is which is the preferred room air distribution system and what system is the best to meet the requirements of microbiological air cleanliness. Today, in Sweden, the requirement is a target level of 5 CFU/m3during the design phase, in order to ensure that the level of ≤10 CFU/m3during infection prone surgery is maintained. LÄS MER
