6. Strong n-generators in some one-dimensional domains
Sammanfattning : Let R be a commutative Noetherian one-dimensional domain such that each ideal in R can be generated by n elements. A strong n-generator in R is an element r which can be chosen as one of n generators for each ideal in which it is contained. LÄS MER
7. Risk of hearing loss from combined exposure to hand-arm vibrations and noise
Sammanfattning : Hearing loss from noise exposure is one of the most common occupational injuries, and exposure to vibrations may increase the risk of noise-induced hearing loss. Earlier cross-sectional and longitudinal studies found an increased risk of noise-induced hearing loss among workers with vibration-induced white fingers (VWF) symptoms compared to workers without such symptoms. 10. The accessibility paradox : Everyday geographies of proximity, distance and mobility
Sammanfattning : This thesis aims to explore the importance of proximity and mobility, respectively, for individuals’ accessibility, as well as the relationship between these two key spatial dimensions of accessibility in the context of everyday life. The thesis is based upon three empirical research papers which focus on accessibility-related preferences, actual accessibility conditions, and travel patterns. LÄS MER
