  1. 1. An investigation of cognitive aspects affecting human performance in manual assembly

    Författare :Anna Brolin; Keith Case; Peter Thorvald; Leo De Vin; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Cognitive ergonomics; Manual assembly; Manufacturing; Usability; Cognitive workload; Information presentation; Material presentation; Product variants; Kitting; Technology; Teknik; User Centred Product Design; Användarcentrerad produktdesign;

    Sammanfattning : Modern manufacturing systems seem to be shifting from mass production to mass customisation, which means that systems must be able to manage changes in customer demands and requirements, new technology as well as environmental demands. This in turn leads to an increase in product variants that need to be assembled. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Structuring and use of motion data for computer manikin work task simulations

    Författare :Ali Keyvani; Roland Örtengren; D. Lämkull; Gunnar Bolmsjö; Keith Case; Högskolan Väst; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Digital Human Modelling; Computer Manikins; Motion Capture Data Management; Virtual Production Tools; Human Motion Simulation; Motion Synthesis; Manufacturing and materials engineering; Produktions- och materialteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Modelling and simulation of human motions are of great interest for a number of industrial applications such as ergonomics and production planning. Over time, efforts have been made to provide computerized human models with biomechanically accurate underlying skeleton and realistically rendered volumetric representation of muscles, skin, clothes, etc. LÄS MER

  3. 3. The value of experimental data and modelling for exploration of hydrological functioning: The case of a till hillslope

    Författare :Nino Amvrosiadi; Jan Seibert; Kevin Bishop; Keith Beven; April James; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Successfully modeling one system response (e.g. hydrograph or solute transport) sometimes gives the false sense of well-characterizing the modeled system. This is partly because of the well-known equifinality issue; during the calibration process multiple parameter combinations can produce similarly good results. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Framing Audit Failure : Four studies on audit quality discomforts

    Författare :Thomas Carrington; Bino Catasús; Keith Robson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; auditing; audit failure; framing; disciplinary cases; comfort; discomforts; actor-network theory; audit quality; voice; Business studies; Företagsekonomi; Business Administration; företagsekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to analyze the practice of auditing in terms of how relevant actors frame audit failure. This aim is explored in four different articles. The first article examines and develops the idea of auditing as a comfort-producing activity. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Integrating domain knowledge into deep learning : Increasing model performance through human expertise

    Författare :Niclas Ståhl; Göran Falkman; Alexander Karlsson; Gunnar Mathiason; Jonas Boström; Keith Downing; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; INF301 Data Science; INF301 Data Science; Skövde Artificial Intelligence Lab SAIL ; Skövde Artificial Intelligence Lab SAIL ;

    Sammanfattning : The research in this thesis is focused on how deep learning models can be designed and implemented to better emulate and integrate the heuristic reasoning process of human experts. Several case studies, within the domains of steel making and drug discovery, are conducted in order to evaluate the performance of these models, in comparison to models that do not consider human expert knowledge from the targeted domain.
