    Sammanfattning : This thesis builds on three studies exploring demonstrations in show dance classes. Primarily, the thesis contributes to research on multimodality and mobile learning activities. In order to obtain a wide range of such means, I have chosen material that has a clear timeframe and illustrates strong political antagonism, concerning the 1971 conflict between the Saco and SR unions and the Swedish state. At this stage of schooling, most pupils are assumed to have acquired basic reading and writing skills, and from now on, and increasingly over the years that follow, they are expected to read and write longer texts within different genres and subjects.
