  1. 6. Children at the Borders

    Författare :Jonathan Josefsson; Karin Zetterqvist Nelson; Göran Collste; Anna Lundberg; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Children; Asylum; children’s rights; citizenship; right claims; socio-political practice; borders; migration; Barn; asyl; barns rättigheter; medborgarskap; rättighetsanspråk; socio-politisk praktik; gränser; migration;

    Sammanfattning : In the wake of a steady flow of child migrants attempting to cross borders and states’ efforts to restrict immigration, various public controversies have arisen about the rights of asylum-seeking children. The ‘moral gap’ between the outcome of democratically enacted laws and the aim of controlling immigration, on the one hand, and public calls to protect the universal rights of asylum seeking children, on the other, have created a political challenge for Western democracies. 2. 7. You don’t have to love it - Exploring the mechanisms of exercise motivation using self-determination theory in a digital context

    Författare :Anna Karin Weman-Josefsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; exercise; motivation; self-determination theory; digital intervention; LGCM; mediation; RCT;

    Sammanfattning : Most Western countries have developed guidelines and programs to inform and promote regular physical activity and exercise behaviours in order to gain desired health benefits for the population. Unfortunately, health statistics show that many people do not reach these recommended activity levels. LÄS MER

  3. 8. EXPLORING MOTIVATIONAL MECHANISMS IN EXERCISE BEHAVIOUR : Applying Self-determination theory in a person-centred approach

    Författare :Karin Anna Weman-Josefsson; Magnus Lindwall; Boo Johansson; Jesper Lundgren; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; autonomy; competence; exercise; intervention; mediation; relatedness; autonomy; competence; exercise; intervention; mediation; relatedness;

    Sammanfattning : Involvement in physical activity (PA) and exercise behaviour is multifaceted and depends on bidirectional correlations between multiple factors; one avenue to increase the understanding of sustainable exercise behaviours would be to employ a motivational perspective. In this thesis, this was done by placing the primary focus on Self-determination theory (SDT) as a person-centred approach to study the motivational mechanisms believed to impact exercise behaviour based on the SDT process model. 4. 9. Elasticity of Cellulose Nanofibril Materials

    Författare :Gabriella Josefsson; E. Kristofer Gamstedt; Karin de Borst; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Cellulose nanofibrils; Elastic properties; Micromechanics; Composites; Engineering science with specialization in Applied Mechanics; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot tillämpad mekanik;

    Sammanfattning : The demand for renewable load-carrying materials is increasing with increasing environmental awareness. Alternative sources for materials manufacturing and design have to be investigated in order to replace the non-biodegradable materials. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Fate and transport of POPs in the aquatic environment : with focus on contaminated sediments

    Författare :Sarah Josefsson; Karin Wiberg; Mats Tysklind; Kjell Leonardsson; Jonas S Gunnarsson; Jussi Kukkonen; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; bioturbation; bioirrigation; bioaccumulation; secondary sources; buried contaminants; sediment remediation; active capping; thin-layer capping; Marenzelleria spp.; Baltic Sea; polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins; polychlorinated dibenzofurans; polychlorinated biphenyls; hexachlorobenzene; octachloro¬styrene; polybrominated diphenyl ethers; PCDD Fs; PCBs; HCB; OCS; PBDEs; water sampling; passive sampling; particulate fraction; freely dissolved; apparently dissolved; colloid; organic carbon; activated carbon; lignin; sediment-to-water flux; spring bloom; Environmental chemistry; Miljökemi; Persistent organic compounds; Persistenta organiska föreningar; Environmental Science; miljövetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) are hydrophobic substances that readily sorb to organic matter in particles and colloids instead of being freely dissolved in the water phase. This sorption affects the bioavailability and environmental transport of the POPs. LÄS MER
