    Sammanfattning : Methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) was first described in 1961 and has since caused nosocomial infections and therapeutic limitations. In Sweden, the first finding of horses infected with MRSA was in 2008. Nosocomial spread of MRSA among horses is a hazard for the patients and those in contact with the animals. LÄS MER

I discuss how NSCs interact with extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins in the stem cell niche, and investigate the consequences of deregulated Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) signaling for embryonic NSCs in transgenic mice.     Sammanfattning : Rickettsiae are obligate intracellular gram-negative bacteria transmitted by arthropod vectors. Rickettsiae sometimes cause disease in humans, typically with high fever, headache and occasionally an eschar.In Sweden, Rickettsia helvetica, belonging to the spotted fever group, is the only tick-transmitted rickettsia found free in nature.
