  1. 1. Deciphering Binding Patterns of Therapeutic Antibodies with Immune Cells : From Method Development to Application

    Författare :Sina Bondza; Jos Buijs; Marika Nestor; Mark Cragg; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; affinity; binding kinetics; CD20; cell-based assay; immunology; receptor-ligand interaction; therapeutic antibody; Immunologi; Immunology; Medical Cell Biology; Medicinsk cellbiologi;

    Sammanfattning : Reversible binding, for example between signaling molecules and receptors on the cell surface, is one of the main means to communicate information in cellular systems. Knowledge about how molecules interact is crucial for both understanding biological function and for therapeutic intervention. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Method Development in Quantitative and Structural Proteomics using Fourier Transform Ion Cyclotron Resonance Mass Spectrometry

    Författare :Charlotte Hagman; Per Håkansson; Jonas Bergquist; Jos Buijs; Michael Przybylski; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Biotechnology; Cerebrospinal Fluid; Electrospray Ionization; Fourier Transform Ion Cyclotron Resonance Mass Spectrometry; Global Markers; High Performance Liquid Chromatography; Gas-Phase Exchange; Hydrogen Deuterium Exchange; Plasma; Protoemics; Quantification; Structural Elucidation; Bioteknik; Bioengineering; Bioteknik;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, methods for studying different aspects of proteomics were developed with Fourier Transform Ion Cyclotron Resonance, (FTICR), mass spectrometry. The FTICR technique provides ultra-high mass resolving power, mass accuracy at sub ppm level and sensitivity in the attomole region. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Macromolecules at Interfaces

    Författare :Helén Larsericsdotter; Sven Oscarsson; Jos Buijs; Willem Norde; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemistry; Protein; Adsorption; Immobilization; Surface; Surface Plasmon Resonance; SPR; Mass Spectrometry; MS; Differential Scanning Calorimetry; DSC; FT ICR; Lysozyme; Bovine Serum Albumin; BSA; Myoglobin; Globular; Kemi; Chemistry; Kemi;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, the structure and stability of globular proteins adsorbed onto nanometer-sized hydrophilic silica particles were investigated using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), hydrogen/deuterium exchange (HDX), and mass spectrometry (MS). The adsorption process itself was characterized with fluorescence and absorption spectroscopy and surface plasmon resonance (SPR). LÄS MER
