1. Model Predictive Control for Cooperative Rendezvous of Autonomous Unmanned Vehicles
Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates cooperative maneuvers for aerial vehicles autonomously landing on moving platforms. The objective has been to develop methods for safely performing such landings on real systems subject to a variety of disturbances, as well as physical and computational constraints. LÄS MER
2. Fluorine mass balance in wildlife and consumer products : How much organofluorine are we missing?
Sammanfattning : Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) are a class of anthropogenic pollutants. Many PFASs are highly persistent and have been linked to adverse effects in humans. According to latest estimates, there are more than 4700 PFASs in global commerce, which poses immense challenges for environmental monitoring. LÄS MER
3. Modelling the evolution of treatment-induced resistance in Ph+ leukaemias
Sammanfattning : Targeted therapies are a mainstay of modern cancer treatments. Rather than harming rapidly dividing cells in general, targeted therapies work by directly interfering with oncogenic molecular pathways present in a tumour. Consequently, a targeted therapy typically has less severe side effects. LÄS MER
4. The impact of social information on emotional learning
Sammanfattning : Our survival is contingent on our ability to observe and interact with conspecifics. For example, by observing the facial expressions of others, we can vicariously learn to avoid potentially dangerous events without first-hand personal exposure, thus reducing the risk of harm. 5. KNOTCIRCUS : Or ‘Being the Adventures of Happy Down-River’
Sammanfattning : This is an investigation of the trick as it relates to three fields; gravity, language and capital. I will fully break down and unpack what I mean by ‘trick’ later in this introduction, in the mean time I refer to it as something that refutes the systemic validity of the system through which it proceeds.
