11. ON ARTHRODESIS AND REPLACEMENT OF THE HUMAN ANKLE
Sammanfattning : Of 30 primary ankle fusions in patients with osteoarthrosis, 25 ankles underwent clinical evaluation by two independent observers. In 29 cases, two independent radiologists, unanimously found 26 ankles to be radiographically fused, and three not fused. 13. Upper limb assessment and treatment in cerebral palsy
Sammanfattning : Cerebral palsy (CP) is a heterogeneous group of neurological disorders caused by fetal or infant brain damage that often involves deficits in upper limb (UL) posture and function. Knowledge about effective methods of assessment and treatment of UL in CP is not extensive. In this thesis, different aspects of these two are explored. LÄS MER
14. Knee joint kinematics, fixation and function related to joint area design in total knee arthroplasty
Sammanfattning : The aim was to study the influence of different designs of the joint area on tibial component fixation, kinematics and clinical outcome after a cemented total knee arthroplasty (TKA). The HSS score and a special questionnaire were used at the clinical examination. LÄS MER
15. Biomolecular Aspects of Flexor Tendon Healing
Sammanfattning : Flexor tendon injuries in zone II of the hand (i.e. between the distal volar crease and the distal interphalangeal joint) can be costly for both the afflicted individual and society because of the high cost of a long rehabilitation period, complicated by tendon ruptures or scarring with adhesion formation, causing impaired range of motion.
