16. Regularity results in free boundary problems
Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of three scientific papers, devoted to the regu-larity theory of free boundary problems. We use iteration arguments to derive the optimal regularity in the optimal switching problem, and to analyse the regularity of the free boundary in the biharmonic obstacle problem and in the double obstacle problem. 17. Ligand-based Methods for Data Management and Modelling
Sammanfattning : Drug discovery is a complicated and expensive process in the billion dollar range. One way of making the drug development process more efficient is better information handling, modelling and visualisation. The majority of todays drugs are small molecules, which interact with drug targets to cause an effect. LÄS MER
18. Pressure-Induced Amorphization and Distinct Amorphous States of Clathrate Hydrates
Sammanfattning : This thesis summarizes a study on the pressure-induced amorphization (PIA) and structures of amorphous states of clathrate hydrates (CHs).PIA involves the transition of a crystalline material into an amorphous solid in response of mechanical compression at temperatures well below the melting point.
