1. Parametric model for astrophysical proton-proton interactions
Sammanfattning : Observations of gamma-rays have been made from objects such as active galaxies and supernova remnants and also as diffuse emission from the Galactic ridge. The study of gamma-rays can provide information about production mechanisms and tell us about cosmic ray acceleration. LÄS MER
2. Inverse Problems in Analytic Interpolation for Robust Control and Spectral Estimation
Sammanfattning : This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with theNevanlinna-Pick interpolation problem, a problem which occursnaturally in several applications such as robust control, signalprocessing and circuit theory. We consider the problem of shaping andapproximating solutions to the Nevanlinna-Pick problem in a systematicway. LÄS MER
3. Improved techniques for CE-MALDI-MS off-line coupling and MALDI-MS analysis of primarily hydrophobic proteins and peptides
Sammanfattning : Due to the hydrophobic nature of integral membrane proteins (IMP) they give rise to several difficulties concerning handling and analysis, which is not the case for the most water soluble proteins. New analysis methods are needed, where the insolubility problems of the hydrophobic proteins due to aggregation and adhesion are tackled. LÄS MER
4. Klassicismens interiörer : Inredningskonst och arkitekturprofiler från Vitruvius till Tessin
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to describe and analyse the design and development of the classical interior detail and its theoretical background from its Italian origins through its development into a shared European style around 1700. It mainly presents a close study of some forty chosen interiors in Italy, France and Sweden dating from antiquity to the close of the seventeenth century. LÄS MER
5. Graph-structured multi-marginal optimal transport : Theory, applications, and efficient methods using entropy regularization
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with a class of multi-marginal optimal transport problems, which we call graph-structured multi-marginal optimal transport. The aim of the thesis is to work towards a unified framework for this class of problems. The included papers explore theoretical, computational, and practical aspects of the novel framework, e.g. LÄS MER
