  1. 1. Localised Globalities and Social Work : Contemporary Challenges

    Författare :Jessica H. Jönsson; Masoud Kamali; Mona Livholts; Vishanthie Sewpaul; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Globalisation; global social problems; glocalisation; multiple modernities; neoliberalism; social work; West-centric development;

    Sammanfattning : Recent global and structural transformations, a West-centric development agenda and the triumph of neoliberal politics have led to destructive consequences for many local communities and individual life chances. The global dominance of the West-centric development agenda, with its roots in the colonial past, has created uneven developments and an unjust world in which Western countries continue to gain advantages and increase their prosperity. 2. 2. Wood chips for kraft and sulfite pulping : evaluation of novel forest-industrial drum-chipping technology

    Författare :Jessica Gard Timmerfors; Leif J. Jönsson; David Blomberg; Sören Östlund; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; wood chip; drum chipper; impregnation; pulping; sulfite process; kraft process; Scots pine; Norway spruce; heartwood; frozen wood; moisture content;

    Sammanfattning : Wood chipping and the supply of high-quality wood chips are of critical importance for most forest-industrial processes. The quality of wood chips affects product yield, product quality, and processability. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Some aspects of convection as well as graphite and carbide formations during casting

    Författare :Fareed Ashraf Khan; Michael Vynnycky; Pär Jönsson; Bo Rogberg; Hasse Fredriksson; Jessica Elfsberg; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; carbides; heat treatment; cast iron; ball bearing steel; casting; cooling rate; structure analysis; nodule distribution; melt stirring; nuclei; karbider; värmebehanding; gjutjärn; kullagerstål; gjutning; kylningshastighet; strukturanalys; nodulefördelning; smältrörelse; kärnor.; Metallurgical process science; Metallurgisk processvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : It is an established fact that segregation during casting affects the physical properties of carbon-based ferro alloys; this motivates the study of the segregation behaviour of carbon and carbide-forming solute elements. In this context, this thesis investigates two different situations: the effects of cooling rate and turbulence on the precipitation behaviour of the graphite nodules in nodular cast iron; the nature of carbide precipitation in a bearing steel grade and the effects of subsequent soaking on these carbides. 4. 4. Investigations on the Formation of Defect Bands in Semi-Solid High Pressure Die Cast Aluminium-Silicon Alloys

    Författare :Madeleine Law; Pär Jönsson; Christopher Hulme-Smith; Taishi Matsushita; Jessica Elfsberg; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Semi-Solid Metals; SSM; Al-Si Alloys; Defect bands; HPDC; Semisolida metaller; SSM; Al-Si-Alloys; defektband; HPDC; Metallurgical process science; Metallurgisk processvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : High-pressure die casting of semi-solid aluminium-silicon alloys is used in the automotive industry to manufacture components, like housings, brackets, and bars. It is commonly known that during high-pressure die casting, defect bands may be created that follow the contour of the component surface. These bands consist mainly of a eutectic phase. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Unaccompanied refugee minors and political responses in Sweden: Challenges for social work

    Författare :Caroline Östman; Masoud Kamali; Jessica H. Jönsson; Marcus Herz; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; unaccompanied refugee minors; critical social work; migration; integration; postcolonialism; critical intersectionalism; neoliberalism; globalisation;

    Sammanfattning : Currently, there are 68.5 million people forcibly displaced around the world, which is the highest figure since World War II. The affected individuals have fled their homes to seek protection elsewhere, either within their own country or across national borders. Approximately 16. LÄS MER
