16. The Non-Invasive Brain Biopsy : Implementation and Application of Quantitative Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy on Healthy and Diseased Human Brain
Sammanfattning : Introduction: In this thesis, one of the major objectives was to implement a method for (absolute) quantitative magnetic resonance spectroscopy (qMRS) of the human brain, intended for clinical use. The implemented method was based on standard spatially selective MRS sequences. LÄS MER
17. Quantitative Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Brain : Applications for Tissue Segmentation and Multiple Sclerosis
Sammanfattning : Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a sensitive technique for assessing white matter (WM) lesions in multiple sclerosis (MS), but there is a low correlation between MRI findings and clinical disability. Because of this, other pathological changes are of interest, including changes in normal appearing white matter (NAWM) and diffusely abnormal white matter (DAWM). LÄS MER

The thesis is divided into three parts. LÄS MER
19. Virtual Human Characters for Autonomous Vehicle-to-Pedestrian Communication
Sammanfattning : Pedestrians base their street-crossing decisions on both vehicle-centric cues, like speed and acceleration, and driver-centric cues, like gaze direction and facial expression. In the future, however, drivers of autonomous vehicles will be preoccupied with non-driving related activities and thus unavailable to provide pedestrians with relevant communicative cues. LÄS MER
20. Food for Thought : Essays on Green Public Procurement and the Market for Organic Food
Sammanfattning : Paper [I] In this paper, we study a Green Public Procurement (GPP) policy decided by the Swedish government in 2006, stating objectives related to organic farming. The policy aims to increase the public sector's organic food purchases, in order to incentivise Swedish farmers to convert to organic practices, thereby contributing to national environmental quality objectives.
