    Sammanfattning : The Phthalocyanines (Pc’s) are a group of macro-cyclic molecules, widely investigated due to the possibility to use them in a variety of applications. Electronic and geometrical structure investigations of molecular model systems of Pc’s adsorbed on surfaces are important for a deeper understanding of the functionality of different Pc-based devices. Sammanfattning : Core- and Valence Photoelectron Spectroscopy (PES), X-ray- and Ultraviolet-Visible Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS and UV-Vis), Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM) and Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations are used to study the electronic and geometrical structure of a class of macro-cyclic molecules, Phthalocyanines (Pc), on surfaces. These molecules are widely studied due to their application in many different fields. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Metal-Organic Complexes at Surfaces

    Författare :Cristina Isvoranu; Synkrotronljusfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; x-ray absorption spectroscopy; x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy; bi-isonicotinic acid; oxalic acid; spin change; gas adsorption; metal-organic complex; iron phthalocyanine; scanning tunneling spectroscopy; resonant photoemission spectroscopy;

    Sammanfattning : The adsorption of different metal-organic complexes at surfaces was investigated by spectroscopic techniques (x-ray photoemission spectroscopy, x-ray absorption spectroscopy, resonant photoemission spectroscopy) and by scanning tunnelling microscopy. The investigation methods are able to provide atomic scale information on the studied systems, which moreover originates from the top-most atomic layers in a sample, meaning that they are surface sensitive techniques. 4. 4. Surface-Induced Modification of Supported Late Transition Metal Complexes

    Författare :Olesia Snezhkova; Synkrotronljusfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; N-heterocyclic carbene palladium complexes; X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy; electron charge transfer; iron phthalocyanine; catalysis; X-ray absorption spectroscopy;

    Sammanfattning : The work presented in this thesis addresses the investigation of the electronic, magnetic, and structural properties of late transition metal complexes supported on various surfaces. The research is aimed at studying the interaction between the molecules and the support, together with the intermolecular interaction. This knowledge is essential e.g. LÄS MER
