16. Aspects on the Regio and Stereo Selectivity in the Hydrolsilylation of 1,3-Dienes
Sammanfattning : This thesis is a summary of four papers concerning various aspects on the transition metal catalysed hydrosilylation of 1,3-dienes. The hydrosilylation reaction is formally an addition of a hydrosilane to an unsaturated system and depending on the reaction conditions, control of stereo-, regio-, and chemo-selectivity can be achieved. 17. Development of AI-tools for making sense of future complex intelligent systems
Sammanfattning : Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly introduced into many systems that modern society rely on and is often portrayed as a savior that can contribute to finding solutions to societal challenges e.g., social, and ecological sustainability. LÄS MER
18. Sociotechnical system studies of the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from energy and transport systems
Sammanfattning : It is agreed that greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from energy and transport systems must be reduced. Technical means exist to reduce GHG emissions from these sources. However, these emission-reduction measures are not implemented to a high enough degree. LÄS MER
19. Constitutive modelling of an additively manufactured alloy for fatigue lifing in high temperature applications
Sammanfattning : The main objective of the work presented in this Licentiate thesis is to investigate and model the cyclic behaviour of an additively manufactured ductile nickel-based superalloy, with special emphasis on modelling the stabilised material behaviour, which is of interest for fatigue life predictions. Cyclic fatigue tests at different temperatures have been performed to investigate the cyclic mechanical behaviour of the material, where specimens built in different orientations have been used to also study the anisotropic behaviour of the material. 20. Entanglement spectrum and the bulk polarization
Sammanfattning : In this Licentiate thesis we give a brief review on the topics of topologicalinsulator and superconductor phases, the modern theory of polarization andthe entanglement spectrum, with a focus on one- and two-dimensional systems. In the context of symmetry protected topological systems the bulk polarizationcan be a topological invariant which characterizes the topological phase.
