    Sammanfattning : The overall purpose of the thesis is to contribute to the knowledge of relevance of international large-scale assessments (ILSAs) in mathematics, when these are to be used and interpreted in a national context. If a nation is to engage in ILSAs, draw conclusions from them and act on them, one should be aware of what they are measuring and how well it fits in with the national mathematics education and the mathematics they are trying to teach their students.     Sammanfattning : Entrepreneurial opportunities are frequently noted and addressed in the literature of immigrant entrepreneurship; however, little is known about how these entrepreneurial opportunities come into existence and how immigrant entrepreneurs create such opportunities. The purpose of this thesis is to examine why and how immigrant entrepreneurs create entrepreneurial opportunities through embedding processes in the home country and the host country. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This study explores how Somali secondary school and graduate-level youth in Kenya’s Dadaab camps attempt to build their futures through education, despite challenges posed by their non-citizen status. Using ethnographic data, the study specifically analyses the educational journeys, aspirations, and experiences of these refugee youth, shedding light on the everyday practices and dynamic strategies they employ to pursue their goals and manage obstacles.
