1. Towards Designing Better Speech Agent Interaction : Using Eye Gaze for Interaction
Sammanfattning : This research is about addressing the need to better understand interaction with conversational user interfaces (CUIs) and how human-technology `conversations' can be improved by drawing on the lessons learned from human-human interaction. It focuses on incorporating abstractions of complex human behaviour, specifically gaze, to enhance interactions with speech agents in conversations. LÄS MER
2. Biofeedback Interaction : Applying Physiological Methods to Entertainment Video Games
Sammanfattning : Biofeedback interaction offers interesting opportunities for video games since it allows player physiological information to be used in novel interaction techniques. Despite several contributions in the area, biofeedback interaction faces a set of challenges relating to its design and implementation. LÄS MER
3. Gaming Interaction : Conversations and Competencies in Internet Cafés
Sammanfattning : The dissertation analyzes interaction in adolescents’ computer gaming. Through the use of video recordings in internet cafés, players’ communicative practices are illuminated. Ethnomethodological and interaction analytical perspectives are used to explicate the participants’ methods for meaning-making in the gaming. LÄS MER
4. Fragile and magical interaction forms: an approach to interaction design aesthetics
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with overlooked and perhaps undesired characteristics that may be induced when designing objects that contain computational technology. Aspects such as trust, dependency and anxiety have been explored through the development of a conceptual framework and through experimental design work, where theoretical and practical work have influenced each other, and affected each others result. 5. Comparing Procurement Methods in Road Construction Projects : Influence on Uncertainty, Interaction and Knowledge
Sammanfattning : The construction sector is often considered to show a number of limitations regarding efficiency and effectiveness, conclusions normally drawn irrespective of project procurement method used, and despite the common assumption that differences among approaches exist regarding these aspects. The study investigates differences and similarities among procurement methods using a longitudinal multi-case study based on two comparatively large infrastructure projects: a traditional so-called design-bid-build project and an unconventional so-called design-build-maintain project.
