1. Ekonomistyrningens betydelse för produktivitet på byggprojektnivå
Sammanfattning : The construction industry in Sweden has long been important both for the national economy and the community as a whole. The industry is very sensitive to economic fluctuations. In a downturn, it is important to limit increases in costs, but this also applies during a period of prosperity. Costs can be reduced by increasing productivity on site. LÄS MER
2. Method development for isotope analysis of trace and ultra-trace elements in environmental matrices
Sammanfattning : The increasing load of toxic elements entering the ecosystems, as a consequence of anthropogenic processes, has grown public awareness in the last decades, resulting in a great number of studies focusing on pollution sources, transport, distribution, interactions with living organisms and remediation. Physical/chemical processes that drive the uptake, assimilation, compartmentation and translocation of heavy metals in biota has received a great deal of attention recently, since elemental concentrations and isotopic composition in biological matrices can be used as probes of both natural and anthropogenic sources. 3. Respect for People : Developing alternative understandings and relationships to ethics, leadership, and culture in Lean implementations
Sammanfattning : Successful Lean implementation is a combination of both technology and culture, using bothkey principles of continuous improvement (CI) and respect for people (RFP). However, manyorganizations fail to implement Lean and critical factors in this failure are leadership, cultureand the lack of RFP. LÄS MER
5. Complexity and learning in timber frame housing : the case of a solid wood pilot project
Sammanfattning : An extensive governmental evaluation of the Swedish construction industry shows that it is possible to reduce production costs in housing construction through industrialisation, customer orientation, and a more efficient construction process. Today large construction companies are more and more focused on dealing with systems and coordinating large projects and the real production is getting less important. LÄS MER
