11. Do you dare to think outside the box? : Impacts of alcohol, negative affect and evaluation apprehension on inhibition of creative performance
Sammanfattning : Conditions relating to evaluation apprehension, alcohol and affect were investigated in relation to creative performance. Study I compared group work with individual work, and control conditions were compared with de Bono creativity-enhancing techniques. LÄS MER
12. Platelet Inhibition in Coronary Artery Disease – Mechanisms and Clinical Importance : Studies with Focus on P2Y12 Inhibition
Sammanfattning : Despite the currently recommended dual antiplatelet treatment (DAT) with aspirin and P2Y12 inhibition in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) there is a risk of adverse clinical outcome. Pharmacodynamic (PD) poor response to clopidogrel occurs in ~ 30% of clopidogrel-treated patients and is associated with an increased risk of recurrent thrombotic events. LÄS MER
13. Biophysical investigations of ribonucleotide reductase : Activation and inhibition mechanisms
Sammanfattning : Ribonucleotide reductase (RNR) is the enzyme responsible for de novo synthesis of deoxyribonucleotides, needed for both synthesis and repair of cellular DNA. The RNRs known so far are divided into three distinct classes; I, II and III. The conventional class I enzyme is composed of two separate subunits. LÄS MER
14. Molecular Simulation of Enzyme Catalysis and Inhibition
Sammanfattning : The reaction mechanisms for the hemoglobin degrading enzymes in the Plasmodium falciparum malaria parasite, plasmepsin II (Plm II) and histo-aspartic protease (HAP), have been analyzed by molecular simulations. The reaction free energy profiles, calculated by the empirical valence bond (EVB) method in combination with molecular dynamics (MD) and free energy perturbation (FEP) simulations are in good agreement with experimental data. 15. Neural Control of Movement : Motor Neuron Subtypes, Proprioception and Recurrent Inhibition
Sammanfattning : Movement is central for life, and all animals depend on accurate regulation of movement for purposeful behavior. There is great diversity of movements, ranging between simple and vital breathing movements to minute and subtle movements of the face used to communicate emotions. LÄS MER
