  1. 6. Interaction Analysis in Multivariable Control Systems : Applications to Bioreactors for Nitrogen Removal

    Författare :Björn Halvarsson; Bengt Carlsson; Elling Jacobsen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; activated sludge process; biological nitrogen removal; bioreactor models; control structure design; cost-efficient operation; decentralized control; interaction measures; minimum variance control; multivariable control; wastewater treatment; Automatic control; Reglerteknik; Elektroteknik med inriktning mot reglerteknik; Electrical Engineering with specialization in Automatic Control;

    Sammanfattning : Many control systems of practical importance are multivariable. In such systems, each manipulated variable (input signal) may affect several controlled variables (output signals) causing interaction between the input/output loops. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Control and Estimation of Automotive Powertrains with Backlash

    Författare :Adam Lagerberg; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; backlash control; powertrain control; driveability; backlash estimation; model predictive control; optimal control; Automatic control;

    Sammanfattning : In automotive powertrains, backlash causes problems with vehicle driveability, specifically at so called tip-in and tip-out maneuvers. These maneuvers may trigger phenomena known in the automotive industry as shunt and shuffle, which are partially caused by the backlash. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Ammonium Feedback Control in Wastewater Treatment Plants

    Författare :Linda Åmand; Bengt Carlsson; Peter Vanrolleghem; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; aeration control; ammonium feedback control; biological nitrogen removal; full-scale experiments; gain scheduling control; PI control; process control; repetitive control; wastewater treatment; Elektroteknik med inriktning mot reglerteknik; Electrical Engineering with specialization in Automatic Control;

    Sammanfattning : The aeration process is often the single largest consumer of electricity in a wastewater treatment plant. Aeration in biological reactors provides microorganisms with oxygen which is required to convert ammonium to nitrate. Ammonium is toxic for aqueous ecosystems and contributes to eutrophication. 4. 9. Minimum-time sliding mode control of robot manipulators

    Författare :Boyko Iliev; Ivan Kalaykov; Krzysztof Kozlowski; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Reglerteknik; minimum-time sliding mode control; sliding mode control; maximum-slope sliding lines; Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy systems; robot manipulators; reglerteknik; Automatic control; Reglerteknik; Reglerteknik; Automatic Control;

    Sammanfattning : Robot manipulators have a complex and highly nonlinear dynamics, accompanied with a high degree of uncertainty. These properties make them difficult for time-optimal control. The theory of sliding mode control can provide methods, able to cope with the uncertainty and nonlinearity in the system. LÄS MER

  5. 10. On Modeling and Control of Flexible Manipulators

    Författare :Stig Moberg; Svante Gunnarsson; Anders Robertsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; System identification; multivariable systems; differential-algebraic equations; robots; manipulators; flexible structures; robustness; position control; nonlinear systems; closed-loop identification; frequency-response methods; industrial robots; robotics; control; feedforward; flexible arms; Automatic control; Reglerteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Industrial robot manipulators are general-purpose machines used for industrial automation in order to increase productivity, flexibility, and quality. Other reasons for using industrial robots are cost saving, and elimination of heavy and health-hazardous work. LÄS MER
