11. Visualization of Causal Relations
Sammanfattning : The notion of cause and effect is pervasive in human thinking and plays a significant role in our perception of time. Software systems, in particular parallel and distributed ones, are permeated by this causality, and the human mind is especially well-suited to detect instances of this concept. LÄS MER
12. Image analysis and interactive visualization techniques for electron microscopy tomograms
Sammanfattning : Images are an important data source in modern science and engineering. A continued challenge is to perform measurements on and extract useful information from the image data, i.e., to perform image analysis. LÄS MER
13. Visual Analytics for Explainable and Trustworthy Machine Learning
Sammanfattning : The deployment of artificial intelligence solutions and machine learning research has exploded in popularity in recent years, with numerous types of models proposed to interpret and predict patterns and trends in data from diverse disciplines. However, as the complexity of these models grows, it becomes increasingly difficult for users to evaluate and rely on the model results, since their inner workings are mostly hidden in black boxes, which are difficult to trust in critical decision-making scenarios. 14. Social and Organizational Aspects of Requirements Engineering Methods
Sammanfattning : Improving requirements engineering has been recognized as critical for the 1990s. Reported differences in theoretical reasoning vs. the practice of how methods are used suggest a need for further research. A way to proceed is to investigate how real-life system design situations can be supported the best way. LÄS MER
15. Computer-Assisted Coronary CT Angiography Analysis : From Software Development to Clinical Application
Sammanfattning : Advances in coronary Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA) have resulted in a boost in the use of this new technique in recent years, creating a challenge for radiologists due to the increasing number of exams and the large amount of data for each patient. The main goal of this study was to develop a computer tool to facilitate coronary CTA analysis by combining knowledge of medicine and image processing, and to evaluate the performance in clinical settings.
