  1. 41. Studies of Charge Transport Processes in Dye-sensitized Solar Cells

    Författare :Kristofer Fredin; Anders Hagfeldt; Mukundan Thelakkat; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; solar cell; mesoporous; dye-sensitized; model; simulation; electron transport; trap distribution; Physical chemistry; Fysikalisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) have attained considerable attention during the last decade because of the potential of becoming a low cost alternative to silicon based solar cells. Although efficiencies exceeding 10% in full sunlight have been presented, major improvements of the system are however limited. LÄS MER

  2. 42. Wheel Housing Aerodynamics of Heavy Trucks

    Författare :David Söderblom; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : For trucks in long-haul operation the aerodynamic drag constitutes more than half of the total driving resistance, and by optimising the aerodynamics of thevehicle it is possible to reduce the fuel consumption significantly. The drag of the underbody, including wheels, wheel housings and engine compartment, accounts for a large part of that aerodynamic drag, and very little aerodynamic optimisation has been carried out in this specific area on heavy trucks. 3. 43. Hydrolytic degradation of dental composites and effects of silane-treatment and filler fraction on compressive strength and thermal expansion of composites

    Författare :Karl-Johan M. Söderholm; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Internal frictional theory; filler-matrix debonding; stress-corrosion; stressinfluenced diffusion; m icro-crack form ation; crazing; opacity; wear; osmotic pressure; hoop stresses;

    Sammanfattning : Some researchers have suggested that the weakest link of dental composites is the filler-matrix bond. However, due to incompleteness of information dealing with this bond and its stability in a humid environment, it was considered desirable to investigate the effect of water on this region, as well as the influence of filler bonding and filler fraction on compressive strength and thermal expansionExperimental composites containing different filler fractions of either silane-treated or untreated fillers were made. 4. 44. Light Scattering Effects in Transparent Wood Biocomposites

    Författare :Hui Chen; Lars Berglund; Ilya Sychugov; Max Yan; Mikael Sjödahl; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Transparent wood; cellulose; biocomposite; light transmission; anisotropic scattering; Rayleigh scattering; photon budget; photon diffusion theory; light-transparent wood interaction; Transparent trä; cellulosa; biokomposit; ljustransmission; anisotropisk spridning; Rayleigh-spridning; fotonbudget; fotondiffusionsteori; ljus-transparent trä interaktion; Fiber- och polymervetenskap; Fibre and Polymer Science;

    Sammanfattning : Transparent wood (TW) shows interesting optical properties and offers a sustainable alternative to petroleum-based polymer glasses. The influence of the TW internal structure (e.g. LÄS MER

  5. 45. Experiments on Heat Transfer During Diesel Combustion Using Optical Methods

    Författare :Christian Binder; Andreas Cronhjort; Mattias Richter; Andrew Heyes; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Heat transfer; Internal combustion engines; Phosphor thermometry; Machine Design; Maskinkonstruktion;

    Sammanfattning : Transportation is a crucial part of modern societies. This includes their economies. Trade and the transportation of goods have a great influence on prosperity. Nevertheless, the transportation sector with road transport in particular is heavily dependent on fossil fuels and emits a significant amount of greenhouse gases. LÄS MER
