    Sammanfattning : Cerium dioxide, or ceria, is a chemically stable oxygen ion conducting material with a capacity to store and release oxygen, and is therefore extensively used in combustion catalysts. The Cu-Ce-O system has been identified as one of the most active catalysts for the combustion of carbon monoxide. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Porous Cerium Dioxide for Catalytic Applications

    Författare :Mats Lundberg; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; materialteknik; Chemical technology and engineering; Kemiteknik och kemisk teknologi; Materiallära; Material technology; catalysis; transmission electron microscopy; macroporous; mesoporous; cerium dioxide; zirconium dioxide;

    Sammanfattning : Mesoporous cerium dioxide with high crystallinity has been synthesized and studied by TEM, SEM, nitrogen adsorption, PXRD, AFM, and SAXS. The catalytic properties of the materials have been investigated The results of the catalysis experiments were correlated with high resolution TEM investigations of the corresponding material, and it was found that the exposed crystallographic facets play an important role in the conversion of carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide.
