   Sammanfattning : Essay I: A body of evidence has emerged in the literature on intergenerational mobility documenting that unequal countries experience less social mobility: a relationship known as the Great Gatsby Curve. In this paper I estimate the Great Gatsby Curve within Sweden across 125 commuting zones and 20 cohorts, exploiting both cross-sectional and longitudinal variation. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : Recent changes in firm dynamics and the nature of economic growthIn line with the US economy, market concentration and dispersion of revenue productivity within industries increased in Sweden from 1997-2017.    Sammanfattning : The paper “Social divisions and institutions: Considering cross-country institutional parameter heterogeneity” investigates the hypothesis that the association between property rights institutions and economic performance is weaker in countries with high social divisions, as measured in terms of ethnic fractionalisation and income inequality. The results of the empirical estimations support this hypothesis and indicate that it could have some relevance for explaining identified regional variation in the institutional parameter. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : Consumption Dynamics under Time-Varying Unemployment Risk We study the response of households' demand for durable goods to fluctuations in unemployment risk.
