    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Confluent jets; Air distribution system; Air supply device; Ventilation performance; Indoor air quality; Thermal comfort; Experimental study; Computational fluid dynamics CFD ; Variable air volume.; confluent jets; luftdistributionssystem; tilluftsdon; ventilationsprestanda; inomhusluftkvalitet; termisk komfort; experimentell studie; Computational fluid dynamics CFD ; variabelflödessystem; Hållbar stadsutveckling; Sustainable Urban Development;

    Sammanfattning : In recent years, applications of confluent jets for design of ventilation supply devices have been widely studied. Similarly, numerous studies have been made on the potential and application of variable air volume (VAV) in order to reduce the energy demand of ventilation systems. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Low-energy buildings : energy use, indoor climate and market diffusion

    Författare :Johannes Persson; Stefan Grönkvist; Svend Svendsen; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; building energy simulations; energy efficiency gap; energy use; indoor climate; low-energy buildings;

    Sammanfattning : Low-energy buildings have, in recent years, gained attention and moved towards a large-scale introduction in the residential sector. During this process, national and international criteria for energy use in buildings have become stricter and the European Union has through the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive imposed on member states to adapt their building regulations for ‘Nearly Zero Energy Buildings’, which by 2021 should be standard for new buildings. 3. 23. Low-Temperature Baseboard Heaters in Built Environments

    Författare :Adnan Ploskic; Sture Holmberg; Joachim Claesson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Baseboard skirting heating; Low-temperature heating; Thermal comfort; Heat transfer; CFD; Chemical engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The European Union has adopted a plan to decrease 20 % of total energy consumption through improved energy efficiency by 2020. One way of achieving this challenging goal may be to use efficient water-based heating systems supplied by heat pumps or othersustainable systems. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Experimental and numerical investigations of a ventilation strategy – impinging jet ventilation for an office environment

    Författare :Huijuan Chen; Bahram Moshfegh; Mathias Cehlin; Darren Robinson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Impinging jet ventilation; room air distribution; thermal comfort; ventilation performance; turbulence modelling; CFD;

    Sammanfattning : A well-functioning, energy-efficient ventilation system is of vital importance to offices, not only to provide the kind of comfortable, healthy indoor environment necessary for the well-being and productive work performance of occupants, but also to reduce energy use in buildings and the associated impact of CO2 emissions on the environment. To achieve these goals impinging jet ventilation has been developed as an innovative ventilation concept. LÄS MER
