  1. 1. Low-energy buildings : energy use, indoor climate and market diffusion

    Författare :Johannes Persson; Stefan Grönkvist; Svend Svendsen; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; building energy simulations; energy efficiency gap; energy use; indoor climate; low-energy buildings;

    Sammanfattning : Low-energy buildings have, in recent years, gained attention and moved towards a large-scale introduction in the residential sector. During this process, national and international criteria for energy use in buildings have become stricter and the European Union has through the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive imposed on member states to adapt their building regulations for ‘Nearly Zero Energy Buildings’, which by 2021 should be standard for new buildings. 2. 2. Comfort climate evaluation with thermal manikin methods and computer simulation models

    Författare :Håkan O. Nilsson; Håkan O Nilsson; Högskolan i Gävle; []
    Nyckelord :ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; equivalent temperature; subject; thermal manikin; mannequin; thermal climate assessment; heat loss; office environment; cabin climate; ventilated seat; computer model; CFD; clothing-independent; comfort zone diagram; Civil engineering and architecture; Samhällsbyggnadsteknik och arkitektur; thermal environment; cabin; climate;

    Sammanfattning : Increasing concern about energy consumption and the simultaneous need for an acceptable thermal environment makes it necessary to estimate in advance what effect different thermal factors will have on the occupants. Temperature measurements alone do not account for all climate effects on the human body and especially not for local effects of convection and radiation. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Controlling Indoor Climate. Passive cooling of residential buildings in hot-humid climates in China

    Författare :Zhiwu Wang; Byggnadskonstruktion; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Byggnadsteknik; Building construction; China; hot humid climate; thermal comfort; Computational Fluid Dynamics CFD; residential buildings; roofs; indoor climate; passive cooling; cross-ventilation;

    Sammanfattning : Overheating is a paramount problem in residential buildings in hot-humid climates in China during summer. This study aims to deal with the overheating problem and the problem of poor air quality in dwellings. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Thermal models of buildings : determination of temperatures, heating and cooling loads : theories, models and computer programs

    Författare :Kurt Källblad; Institutionen för byggvetenskaper; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Building construction; Computer Programs; Windows; Infiltration; Comfort; Walls; Indoor Climate; Climate; Ventilation; Cooling Load; Heating Load; Buildings; Thermal Models; Building Physics; Energy; Byggnadsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The need to estimate indoor temperatures, heating or cooling load and energy requirements for buildings arises in many stages of a buildings life cycle, e.g. at the early layout stage, during the design of a building and for energy retrofitting planning. Other purposes are to meat the authorities requirements given in building codes. LÄS MER
