  1. 11. Addressing Female Whiplash Injury Protection - A Step Towards 50th Percentile Female Rear Impact Occupant Models

    Författare :Anna K Carlsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; anthropometry; dynamic response; head restraint; dummy; volunteers; whiplash; female; crash test; rear impact; neck injury; occupant model;

    Sammanfattning : Whiplash Associated Disorder (WAD) – commonly denoted whiplash injury – to vehicle occupants involved in collisions, is of worldwide concern. These injuries occur at relatively low velocity changes, typically between 10–25 km/h, and in all impact directions. Rear impacts are, however, the most common in the accident statistics. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Improved PWB test methodologies

    Författare :Abdelghani Renbi; Erik Larsson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Industriell elektronik; Industrial Electronics;

    Sammanfattning : Printed Wiring Board (PWB) and Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) testing aims to ensure an error free board after the etching and the assembly processes. After the etching process, several types of errors might occur such as opens and bridges, which are already, showstoppers in Direct Current (DC) applications. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Low Frequency Impact Sound in Timber Buildings : Simulations and Measurements

    Författare :Jörgen Olsson; Andreas Linderholt; Leif Kari; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Low-frequency; impact sound; light weight floor; timber joist floor; tapping machine; multi-storey timber building; frequency response functions.; Stegljud; Byggteknik; Civil engineering;

    Sammanfattning : An increased share of construction with timber is one possible way of achieving more sustainable and energy-efficient life cycles of buildings. The main reason is that wood is a renewable material and buildings require a large amount of resources. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Significance of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Analysis for the Detection of Precancerous Cervical Lesions : Impact of Self Sampling

    Författare :Karin Sanner; Matts Olovsson; Ingrid Wikström; Erik Wilander; Sven-Eric Olsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :human papilloma virus; HPV; self-sampling; organized screening; cervical cancer screening; Obstetrik och gynekologi; Obstetrics and Gynaecology;

    Sammanfattning : Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer, with about 500 000 new cases per year among women worldwide. With a well-organized screening programme the number of cases can be reduced by more than 50%. In spite of having such a screening programme there are still around 450 new cases yearly in Sweden. 5. 15. Characteristics of nearside car crashes : an integrated approach to side impact safety

    Författare :Cecilia Sunnevång; Maria Krafft; Mats Lindkvist; Christer Hydén; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; side impact; WorldSID; thorax; injuries; side airbag; sidokollision; WorldSID; thorax; injuries; side airbag; biomechanics; biomekanik; Epidemiology; epidemiologi;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction: Approximately 1.25 million people globally are killed in traffic accidents yearly. To achieve the UN Global Goal of a 50% reduction of fatal and serious injuries in 2020 a safer infrastructure, as well as new safety technologies, will be needed. Side crashes represent 20% of all serious and 25 % of fatal injuries. LÄS MER
