1. Porous Silicon -an enzyme coupling matrix for micromachined reactors
Sammanfattning : The development of a miniaturised silicon wafer integrated enzyme reactor is described. The reactor was micromachined by anisotropic wet etching of (110) silicon. The enzyme glucose oxidase (GOx) was coupled to the reactor surface with standard methods of immobilising enzyme to silica. LÄS MER
2. Enzymatic synthesis of acrylates. Catalyst properties and development of process and product
Sammanfattning : The increasingly apparent environmental problems in our surroundings necessitate a quest for sustainable development in all areas of human endeavour. Within the field of chemistry and the production of chemicals, the focus is increasingly on the development of green chemistry. LÄS MER
3. New Methods for Enzyme Hydrolysis, Analysis, and Characterization of Modified Cellulose
Sammanfattning : Cellulose can be chemically modified to produce derivatives with specific properties. Knowledge of correlations between the modification reaction, substituent distribution, origin of cellulose and properties are importaint in order to design processess so as to produce derivatives with the desired properties. 4. Engineering of thermometric biosensors and characterisation of redox enzymes for improved performance of biosensors/biofuel cells
Sammanfattning : The present work is mainly focused on the development of enzyme-based bioanalytical devices, which can further be applied as analytical tools for industrial, medical and environmental applications. The first part of the work deals with the practical applications of thermometric biosensors for determination of various sugars (fructose and lactose) in a real samples. LÄS MER
5. Porous Silicon Microbioreactors - Applications and Technology
Sammanfattning : Microfluidic systems have become one of the most interesting fields in the research of chemical analysis. Miniaturized systems exhibit numerous practical advantages when compared with traditional batch-scale synthesis such as lower sample volumes, increased control of the reactions and higher sample throughput.
