21. Synthesis of Organofluorine Compounds and Allenylboronic Acids - Applications Including Fluorine-18 Labelling
Sammanfattning : This work is focused on two areas: the chemistry of organofluorine and organoboron compounds. In the first chapter, a copper-catalysed synthesis of tri- and tetrasubstituted allenylboronic acids is presented. Extension of the same method leads to allenylboronic esters. LÄS MER
22. Transition metal-catalysed enol formation from allylic alcohols : Isomerisation, C−C and C−F bond formations
Sammanfattning : This thesis describes the isomerisation of allylic alcohols into enols and enolates catalysed by transition metal complexes. The transformation has been used to prepare both unsubstituted and α-substituted carbonyl compounds. Significant attention has been given to the mechanistic aspects of the reactions. LÄS MER
23. Understanding p53 structure and targeting mutant p53 for improved cancer therapy
Sammanfattning : The p53 gene family consists of p53, p63 and p73. The three proteins share a high degree of structural similarity in their DNA-binding domains but have rather different functions. The tumor suppressor p53 acts as the guardian of the genome and is activated in response to cellular stress. LÄS MER
24. New Methods for the Synthesis of 3-Substituted 1-Indanones : A Palladium-Catalyzed Approach
Sammanfattning : In medicinal chemistry, there is a constant need for new preparative methods, both to make the synthesis process more effective, and to increase the accessibility to a wide variety of compounds. A number of different approaches can be used to attain these goals. LÄS MER
25. Synthesis and study of new oxazoline-based ligands
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the study of oxazoline-based ligands in metal-catalyzed asymmetric reactions. The first part describes the synthesis of six new bifunctinal pyridine-bis(oxazoline) ligands and their applications in asymmetric metal-catalysis. LÄS MER
