  1. 11. Flerspråkiga barn i förskolan: Villkor för deltagande och lärande

    Författare :Anne Kultti; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Learning in preschool; multilingual learning; participation; interaction; activity; communication; ; zone of proximal development; scaffolding; artefact;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this research was to study the learning conditions in preschool that support young multilingual children’s language and communicative development, and their participation in activities. A sociocultural theoretical approach provides a means to understand the dynamics of children’s learning and development within a strong theoretical framework. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Program Matters : From Drawing to Code

    Författare :Pablo Miranda Carranza; Katja Grillner; Daniel Koch; Charlie Gulström Hughes; Molly Wright Steenson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; program; algorithm; code; drawing; geometry; notation; score; literacy; writing systems; diagram; formalism; sequence; cybernetics; materiality; research programme; archeological; archive; discourse analysis; practice-based; artefact; bricolage; Architecture; Arkitektur;

    Sammanfattning : Whether on paper, on site or mediating between both, means for reading and writing geometry have been central to architecture: the use of compasses and rulers, strings, pins, stakes or plumb-lines enabled the analysis and reproduction of congruent figures on different surfaces since antiquity, and from the renaissance onwards, the consistent planar representation of three-dimensional shapes by means of projective geometry. Tacitly through practice, or explicitly encoded in classical geometry, the operational syntaxes of drawing instruments, real or imaginary, have determined the geometric literacies regulating the production and instruction of architecture. 3. 13. Bringing an interactive artefact into being : Examining the use of an architectural design model in interaction design

    Författare :Parag Deshpande; L.J. Bannon; David Benyon; University of Limerick; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; interaction design;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the use of an architectural design model in interaction design and provides a detailed and concrete account of bringing an interactive artefact, the Recipe Station, into being.The model of architectural design, with its view of the activity of design as envisioning and making incorporates a number of design traditions that allows architects to deal with novel challenges in an effective and efficient manner. 4. 14. Improvements in Bioimpedance SpectroscopyData Analysis : Artefact Correction, ColeParameters, and Body Fluid Estimation

    Författare :Ruben Buendia; Fernando Seoane; Hermann Scharfetter; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Bioimpedance; Cole; Body Fluid;

    Sammanfattning : The estimation of body fluids is a useful and common practice in the status assessment of diseasemechanisms and treatments. Electrical bioimpedance spectroscopy (EBIS) methods are non-invasive,inexpensive, and efficient alternatives for the estimation of body fluids. However, these methods areindirect, and their robustness and validity are unclear. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Designing Information Systems : A pragmatic account

    Författare :Jonas Sjöström; Pär Johan Ågerfalk; Göran Goldkuhl; Else Nygren; Richard Baskerville; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; information systems; design; pragmatism; design research; it artefact; Informatics and systems science; Informatik och systemvetenskap; Computer and systems science; Data- och systemvetenskap; Informatics; Informatik; Data- och systemvetenskap; Computer Systems Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Information technology (IT) plays an increasingly important role for individuals, organizations, markets, and society as a whole. IT systems are artefacts (human made objects) designed for various purposes. LÄS MER
