Sammanfattning : The main purpose of this study is to understand how children diagnosed as dyslectics use and ascribe meaning to the diagnosis given to them. The theoretical starting point is social constructionism, implying that dyslexia is a word that signifies a phenomenon, in this case children's problem with reading and writing, which in turn is mediated through a cultural, social and historical context. Sammanfattning : The overall objective of this study has been to analyse why there were far more orphanages for girls than for boys in Sweden at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.The study focuses on five orphanages for girls, all with the aim of bringing up girls to be servants. Sammanfattning : The impact of an improved method of drinking water supply upon child health was evaluated in a rural area in southern Malawi. A prospective cohort srudy was made before and after the intervention with a gravityfed,piped water and a sanitation and health education programme using intervention and comparison groups. LÄS MER
