16. Dynamics of Photogenerated Charge Carriers in III-V Bulk and Nanowire Semiconductors
Sammanfattning : As a solution to solving energy consumption and environment problems, photovoltaics has become one type of the promising devices to convert solar energy into electricity directly. In some special areas like in space, a kind of photovoltaics with lightweight and reliable properties is needed to supply power. LÄS MER
17. Nonlinear Properties of III-V Semiconductor Nanowaveguides
Sammanfattning : Nonlinear optics (NLO) plays a major role in the modern world: nonlinear optical phenomena have been observed in a wavelength range going from the deep infrared to the extreme ultraviolet, to THz radiation. The optical nonlinearities can be found in crystals, amorphous materials, polymers, liquid crystals, liquids, organic materials, and even gases and plasmas. LÄS MER
18. Photon Upconversion in Heavily Doped Semiconductors
Sammanfattning : In this thesis the luminescence properties of highly doped semiconductors are studied with focus on degenerately n-doped InP. It is demonstrated how photoluminescence measurements on degenerately doped semiconductors allow an estimation of the doping concentration without need for electrical contacts. LÄS MER
19. III-V Nanowire Solar Cells: Growth and Characterization
Sammanfattning : To mitigate dangerous climate change, a transition to a new and sustainable energy system is needed. In this system, solar energy will need to be a key player. Prices of electricity made from solar cells have declined rapidly over the recent decades, making solar energy competitive in more markets. LÄS MER
20. Atomic and Electronic Structure of III-V Semiconductor Surfaces
Sammanfattning : The atomic and electronic structure of clean and Cs-perturbed III-V semiconductors was studied by angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy (ARPES), surface core level spectroscopy (SCLS), and scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). The work can be divided into three parts, dealing with low-index sur-faces, high-index surfaces, and special features of InAs. LÄS MER
