6. Thermal comfort and energy in residential buildings in a cold climate
Sammanfattning : Building design typically has a focus on energy use and economy. The indoor environment is often overlooked or simplified to such an extent that essential aspects are neglected. Additionally, introducing technologies for improving energy efficiency can also affect the indoor thermal climate and, in turn, the perceived indoor comfort. LÄS MER
7. Evaporative Cooling Tower and Chilled Beams. Design Aspects for Cooling in Office Buildings in Northern Europe
Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis is to examine a comfort cooling system consisting of a hydronic cooling system with an evaporative cooling tower and chilled beams. The system has no conventional chiller. LÄS MER
8. Free cooling in commercial buildings. Application with evaporative cooling tower and chilled beams
Sammanfattning : The use of electricity in commercial buildings has increased over the last decades. One major cause is the rapid escalation of air conditioning equipment together with a growth of internal heat gains originating mainly from an increased amount of office equipment, which also use electric energy, and high levels of solar irradiation. 9.
10. The ORC method
Sammanfattning : The ORC Method (Optimised RC-networks) provides a means ofmodelling one- or multidimensional heat transfer in buildingcomponents, in this context within building simulationenvironments. The methodology is shown, primarily applied toheat transfer in multilayer building components. LÄS MER
