The aim of the study is to present an intermedial theoretical framework for biofiction, a genre defined as fictional biographical and often metafictional narratives in which a biographical subject serves as the focal point for the story or plays a role integral to the narrative. Sammanfattning : This dissertation is a study of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s Notes from the House of the Dead (1860–1862), a semi-documentary rendition of life in a Siberian prison of the 1850s.
