  1. 21. An Analysis of the Proactive Approach as a Potential Tool for Adaptability in Production Systems

    Författare :Kerstin Dencker; Mauro Onori; Lena Mårtensson; Monica Bellgran; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Assembly; production system design; proactivity; human-machine collaboration; SRA - Production; SRA - Produktion;

    Sammanfattning : Competitive systems for manufacturing, especially assembly systems, have to cope with frequent changes of external as well as internal demands. A proactive behaviour in an assembly system should make it capable of rapid changes and have an ability to handle frequent changes and disturbances. LÄS MER

  2. 22. The temporality of in-vehicle user experience: exploring user experiences from past to future

    Författare :Ingrid M Pettersson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Temporality; Future; User Experience; Over Time; Human Machine Interaction; Automotive; Design; Methodology; In-Vehicle Systems;

    Sammanfattning : Cars are nowadays equipped with numerous interactive systems, aiding the driver by providing safety warnings, driving information, support, connectivity and entertainment. Traditionally in the field of in-vehicle system design, the focus of the automotive industry been on safety, i.e. on distraction measures and usability. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Analyzing real-world data to promote development of active safety systems that reduce car-to-vulnerable road user accidents

    Författare :Azra Habibovic; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Accident prevention; Naturalistic observation; Causation analysis; Active safety system; Vulnerable road user VRU ; Driver behavior; Functional requirements; Statistical analysis; VRU behavior;

    Sammanfattning : The overall objective of the thesis is to explore various types of real-world road traffic data and to assess the extent to which they can inform the design of active safety systems that aim to prevent car-to-vulnerable road user (VRU) accidents. A combined analysis of in-depth and police reported accident data provided information on driver behavior and contextual variables, which is valuable for the development of active safety systems. 4. 24. Biomechanical Parameter Estimation for Wearable Exoskeleton System Design

    Författare :Longbin Zhang; Elena Gutierrez Farewik; Ruoli Wang; Christian Smith; Max Ortiz Catalan; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Hill-type muscle model; generalization; transfer learning; computationally modeling; human-machine system; Engineering Mechanics; Teknisk mekanik;

    Sammanfattning : Exoskeletons are increasingly used in rehabilitation and daily life in persons with motor disorders after neurological injuries. The overall objective of this thesis is to study how to robustly and accurately predict joint torque using inputs from sensors that would technically be feasible to equip on an assistive exoskeleton, and to develop a framework that could be used to evaluate the user-exoskeleton interface. 5. 25. Simulator-Based Design : Methodology and vehicle display application

    Författare :Torbjörn Alm; Kjell Ohlsson; Martin Helander; Peter Hancock; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Simulator-Based Design SBD ; Human-in-the-loop simulators; Virtual prototyping; In-vehicle systems; Human-machine interaction HMI ; 3D situation displays; Adaptive interfaces; Work sciences and ergonomics; Arbetsvetenskap och ergonomi;

    Sammanfattning : Human-in-the-loop simulators have long been used in the research community as well as in industry. The aviation field has been the pioneers in the use of simulators for design purposes. In contrast, corresponding activities in the automotive area have been less widespread. LÄS MER
