Two common modes in everyday experiential learning, supervised and unsupervised learning were hypothesized to tap different ecological and epistemological approaches to human adaptation; the Brunswikian and the Gibsonian approach.    Sammanfattning : The ability to determine an upcoming action or what decision a human is about to take, can be useful in multiple areas, for example during human-robot collaboration in manufacturing, where knowing the intent of the operator could provide the robot with important information to help it navigate more safely. Another field that could benefit from a system that provides information regarding human intentions is the field of psychological testing where such a system could be used as a platform for new research or be one way to provide information in the diagnostic process.    Sammanfattning : Why is it that modern architects and planners ? these benevolent and socially visionary ?experts? ? have created environments that can make one feel so uneasy? Such is the question that eventually grew into this thesis, where the aim is to enter into and understand the gap between ideals and realities in planning and architecture, with particular focus on projects that try to create an ?urban atmosphere?. As a starting point the author returns to the feelings she felt when she first visited one of these expertly planned areas; what the architects had described as an attractive, urban environment was to her a ghost town without life.
