  2. 2. lmproving diagnosis of central nervous system tumours using genetic and epigenetic tools

    Författare :Thomas Olsson Bontell; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Histopathology; DNA methylation profiling; DNA methylation-based classification; Diffuse lower grade-glioma; Genomic analysis; Molecular biomarkers; Pediatric glioma;

    Sammanfattning : Brain tumor diagnostics has traditionally been based on histopathology stains. The introduction of immunohistochemistry stains resulted in improved ability to classify these often devastating tumors. The understanding of molecular markers in central nervous system tumors has improved substantially in recent decades. LÄS MER

    Författare :Marie-Therese Vinnars; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Preeclampsia (PE) is a major cause of maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. 5. 5. Constipation : symptoms and findings in relation to structural and functional abnormalities

    Författare :Abdulhakim Glia; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :constipation; defecation; electromyography; gastrointestinal motility; immunchistochernistry; intestinal pseudo-obstruction; physiopathology; quality of life; transit time;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this study was to increase the knowledge about functional constipation with special reference to symptoms analysis, laboratory investigations and histopathology findings. 155 consecutive patients with intractable constipation underwent anorectal manometry, electromyography (EMG), balloon expulsion test, colonic transit time, and defecography.
