  1. 16. Characterization of human myeloid progenitors and their differentiation

    Författare :Louise Edvardsson; Avdelningen för hematologi och transfusionsmedicin; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Medicine human and vertebrates ; extracellular fluids; Haematology; Medicin människa och djur ; thrombopoietin receptor; hematopoiesis; transcription factors; growth factor receptors; human myeloid progenitors; Hematologi; extracellulära vätskor;

    Sammanfattning : All hematopoietic cells are derived from the hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) in a continuous and dynamic process, regulated by a network of transcription factors in different combinations and extrinsic signals from growth factors (GFs) and other factors in the microenvironment. In the initial stages of hematopoiesis HSCs differentiate to progenitor cells with gradually more restricted lineage potential and according to the most accepted model the first restriction in developmental potential results in commitment to either the lymphoid or the myeloid branch, in the latter followed by commitment to the neutrophil/monocyte and erythrocyte/megakaryocyte lineages. 2. 17. A novel principle for immunomodulator delivery with hematopoietic cells as vehicles Focus on soluble TNF-receptor gene expression, targeting to secretory lysosomes and regulated secretion

    Författare :Ying Gao; Avdelningen för hematologi och transfusionsmedicin; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; extracellulära vätskor; extracellular fluids; Hematologi; Medicin människa och djur ; Haematology; Medicine human and vertebrates ; neutrophil; granule; secretory lysosome; sorting; phagocytosis; degranulation.; mast cell; hematopoietic cell; inflammation; soluble TNF receptor;

    Sammanfattning : The goal of this research is to use hematopoietic cells as vehicles for targeting transgenic immunomodulators to the inflammatory sites. The work presented was focused on the anti-inflammatory soluble TNF receptor. A transmembrane soluble TNF receptor (sTNFR1) construct was expressed in hematopoietic cell lines. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Biosynthesis, Processing, and Sorting of Human Neutrophil Granule Proteins. Focus on Cathepsin G, Proteinase 3, and Azurocidin

    Författare :Daniel Garwicz; Avdelningen för hematologi och transfusionsmedicin; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Hematologi; extracellular fluids; Haematology; differentiation; bone marrow progenitor cells; preproform; mutations; Cell lines; transfection; extracellulära vätskor;

    Sammanfattning : The neutrophil granulocyte contains a number of multifunctional proteins stored in different subsets of granules. The azurophil granules, synthesized early during differentiation, harbour leukocyte elastase, cathepsin G, proteinase 3, and azurocidin; the members of the serprocidin family. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Granulopoietic growth factors. Cytokine and cellular regulation of GM-CSF and G-CSF production

    Författare :Stig Lenhoff; Avdelningen för hematologi och transfusionsmedicin; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; monocytes; endothelial cells; GM-CSF; G-CSF; Haematology; extracellular fluids; Hematologi; extracellulära vätskor;

    Sammanfattning : Granulocyte-macrophage- (GM-) and granulocyte- (G-) colony stimulating factor (CSF) are important cytokines in the regulation of hematopoiesis and for the function of mature blood cells. They are also involved in the cytokine network regulating the inflammatory and immune response. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Transcriptional control of Bactericidal/permeability increasing protein (BPI) and cathepsin G in myeloid cells

    Författare :Andreas Lennartsson; Avdelningen för hematologi och transfusionsmedicin; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; extracellular fluids; Haematology; extracellulära vätskor; Hematologi;

    Sammanfattning : The neutrophil store its effector proteins in several distinct types of cytoplasmic granules, developed sequentially during cell maturation. The different subtypes of granules have unique protein content and functional characteristics. The formation of each granule subtype coincides with the biosynthesis of its content. LÄS MER
