    Sammanfattning : The present licentiate thesis is devoted to the rigorous derivation of the equations governing thin-film flow of incompressible Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids.     Sammanfattning : In some large embankment dams unexpected pore pressure distributions within the core have been observed. As an example, the piezometer pressures in WAC Bennett Dam, Canada, which rose for about four years after the reservoir was filled, were steady for two years and subsequently declined. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The main theme of this thesis is the connection between weighted biharmonic Green functions and weighted Bergman kernels. In the first paper, which is a joint work with H. Hedenmalm and S. Shimorin, we prove that weighted biharmonic Green functions are positive for weights which satisfy a mean-value condition and whose logarithms are subharmonic. LÄS MER
