In 2003, the Swedish Parliament adopted a national public health policy that included the domain - “A more health-promoting health service”. The health of adolescent boys is complex and surprisingly little is known about how adolescent boys perceive, conceptualise and experience their health. Sammanfattning :
Avhandlingen är en tvärvetenskaplig kulturstudie som utforskar föreställningar om och erfarenheter av hiv som kronisk sjukdom i Sverige under 2005–2014. Analysen av ett antal hiv-berättelser sker tillsammans med en teoretisk sammanflätning i form av den queera sårbarhetens och sjukdomens fenomenologi, samt genom de feministiska figurationerna hiv-tröskeln, skrubbsår, plåster och gruskorn. Sammanfattning :
Background: A boy child born in a Gothenburg suburb has a life expectancy that is nine years shorter than that of another child just 23 km away, and among girls the difference is five years. There is no necessary biological reason to this observed difference. LÄS MER
